Experience
Goals

Each timed, multi-sensory experience is created from the animal's specific point of view. The individual digital narratives advance by the user physically behaving in the manner of the animal. For example, a child would enter a frog form and hop to progress along his individual narrative path. Since each animal's pace is distinctive based on its species, movement method, and user participation, it is up to each user to synchronize their pace to be in the shared space.

When two or more characters are in a shared zone, they may speak 'in tongue' to each other and hear other participants. All voice input is translated to that of the inhabited creature. When a communication connection is successful, that is to say if each character speaks to the other while occupying a shared zone, harmonious music and augmented animated visuals provides feedback reward of effective coexistence. The entire system is on a timer; the experience ends regardless of goal achievement.

Tactile sonics embedded within each animal offer a unique physical vibration sensation within each form: Purrspective purrs while resting, Betterfly's resonates when flapping, and you can really feel it when Am Fibbin croaks!

Inactivity itself sends a message, if the user does nothing the animal sleeps and daydreams about nothing, lamenting being "all by myself".

Accompanying this installation is a hands-on workshop for children to create their own content, by walking a mile in a character's shoes. Children sport character costumes that have wireless video technology embedded, to record their movements as they physically behave in manners associated with each. Movies are later edited and injected into the installation, an opportunity to experience their own or other's documentation of the experience.
